35CT 100% Natural Kingman Mine, AZ Haunting Blue Turquoise Cabochon Gemstone. Shape: Roughly Triangular

I list this particular Kingman because of its unusual characteristics - it is unlike your common Kingman sampling.  Its matrix features a matrix that has definite translucent properties.  When do you see that?  Never.  It is unusual and part of the reason I carry this stone.  I want to provide access to the unusual, the sublime, the amazing.  And this stone is amazing.  

It features beautiful but sporadic fields of blue in a non-vein, non-spiderweb configuration.  Its appearance didn't follow the usual laws of metamorphic rock.  But its got beauty by the armfuls.  Definitely blue but subtle in its own way.  Certainly a stone one would take notice of.  Very attractive. 

The Colbaughs have been working Kingman since they first claimed it near the turn of the last century.  This is the one of the last working production turquoise mine left in the states today.
