This is an interesting piece of pottery from China that would fit right in with any old jug/crock pottery collection. It has four leaves as part of the design around the shoulder, and four little loops were hand applied as the stems of the leaves. The sides have a design repeated four times that kind of look like pinecones or maybe rice.

The cork on top is worn and old. I don’t think you will be able to remove it without destroying it. The dark brown glossy glaze has some crazing scattered around. A couple of them have an interesting effect of a lighter color “bleeding” away from them. I won’t mention every tiny scratch, but I circled the two notable ones in the photos. There is a small chip on the bottom edge, one tiny mold blemish that kind of looks like a chip on the bottom edge, and fleabites on the unglazed bottom rim.
