Made by George S Bond in Charlestown NC.  GSB Original Improved Trademark stamped into bottom.  Length 32”.  The number “40” penciled on interior wood.

Two clasps and handle in reasonably good shape.  One original hinge is held with a nail.  Other hinge has been replaced with an attempted poor repair of a small piece of leather nailed into place.  Some of nails missing with several small nail holes showing now.  Hopefully someone can make the proper repair.  Overall the wood is in pretty good shape but worn with scratches and chips.  I hope the photos give you enough information to make a decision.
