"Libby's Libby's Libby's" has been in a trunk since 1974, never seeing the light of day, never played with and never activated to speak.  In fact, never out of the plastic bag she arrived in, until the photos were taken.  The 14" doll was made in Mexico in 1974, the doll's speaking mechanism in spite of never being used does not work, which seems to be the problem with most "Libby's".   It is an all cloth doll with faux leather shoes. The bows and shoe laces are original, the skirt's ruffle could use a bit of pressing, there is no soiling or odor, really in new condition in spite of being 49 years old.    Libby was an American company established in 1869 in Chicago that produced canned food products.  It was acquired by NestlĂ© in 1980.
