The company Deschler und Sohn was originally founded in Munich in 1831 and produced a large number of orders and decorations. Papal orders were also produced for the Vatican. At times, 80 employees were employed in production. In 1997, Deschler und Sohn was sold by the then owner Helmut Stillner to the Austrian company Pichl in Inzing. The building by Deschler und Sohn remained active as a showroom in Munich until 2010, but was then demolished for a new building. (Pichl Deschler website)
