The image of Winged Victory, on the coin reverse, is a symbol of freedom and justice during the Mexican Revolution against Spanish colonial rule. Engravings on this face of the coin include the coin’s weight, purity, metal content, and the Mexican Mint’s “MO” mint mark. The coin’s year of issue is also featured on this face.
