A Horse Brass is a brass plate used for the decoration of horse harness especially for horse's parade.

Used since ancient times, these design elements have become particularly popular in England in the nineteenth century and have become collectors' items today.

Some types of Horse Brass existed before the twelfth century in England. They served in the first-place decorations, but quickly became symbols of luck and prestige.

These decorations have grown dramatically in England thanks to the development of decorative arts following the Great Exhibition
