Photograph Notes: This giant fish sculpture was created as part of the William MacGillivray bi-centennial celebrations in 1996. The latter was brought up on Harris and became a respected natural historian. Local materials were used to create the mosaic work. The structure of the fish is an aluminium frame covered with mesh and heavy duty concrete, designed to withstand the most violent of Uist storms.
