The Marine Band is a legend, it is the #Urharp and one of the most popular blues harmonicas for over 100 years. A wooden comb and a domed lid with sound slots give it its legendary sound, which can be heard on many classic blues recordings.
However, new ways of playing and changed playful demands made it necessary to upgrade this veteran to take account of the changed needs of the new generation of players.
With sophisticated tricks, Hohner further developed the traditional marine band into an absolutely professional high-end instrument.

- New, patented comb made of laminated bamboo
- Each comb of the Marine Band Crossover is made from a large number of bamboo slats, which are sawn from the bamboo trunk and then planed flat, making the body of the instrument a handcrafted, unique piece with an unmistakable grain and structure. When planing, the green outer bark is removed so that only the light-colored inside of the bamboo stem is used for the slats. Four to six lamella layers are preferred, which are glued in a press bond and fully sealed with a varnish.
