Chinese KungFu Series Sun Style Taiji Quan ( Tai Chi Quan ) by Sun Jianyun 2DVDs

This is a selection of the essential performances of Sun-style Taiji Quan, its sword and some other weapons, combining the core techniques of Xingyi (Imitation Boxing), Bagua (Eight Diagrams Palm) and Taiji Quan.

It requires the "follow up step" when advancing and the "draw in step" when retreating. Each movement is flexible and natural. The movements of the whole routine are continuous and smooth, like the floating clouds and the flowing water. A move leads other parts of your body to move and a stop leads them to stillness, so it's called Open and Closed Taijiquan.

Chinese KungFu Series Sun Style Taiji Quan and Weapon Routines Sun Jianyun DVD

The most basic feature of Sun-style Taiji Quan is the combination of the essential techniques of Xingyi (Imitation Boxing), Bagua (Eight Diagrams Palm) and Taiji boxing. A forward step is closely followed by the hind foot and vice versa. Each movement is relaxed and flexible, quick and natural. The whole boxing routine is played without break, like clouds flying and water flowing. A move leads other parts of your body to move and a stop leads them to stillness, so it's called Kaihe (open and close) Taiji Quan.

Graduated from Peking Arts School, she had learnt Chinese painting and writing, especially, being good at painting landscapes and portraits of beautiful women. Therefore, she was a great master with both civil and military experience. She undertakes her family tradition seriously, and has got the true essence and soul of Xingyiquan, Bagua Quan and Taijiquan. Following her father, Sun Lu Tang, she had taught Taijiquan in a Wushu gymnasium of Jiangsu Province. After the establishment of the new China, invited by deputy premier He Long, she had been the chief referee of Wushu in the first National Games. She had gotten a Wushu award of Contribution of the International Wushu Day held in China. She had held the posts: deputy president of Beijing Wushu Association, director of Beijing Sun's Style Taijiquan Institute, honoured director of Xingyiquan Institute, the committeewoman of Xicheng District, Beijing, and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
