This center drop pendant is made of a Guatemalan antique 1894 sterling silver (0.900)
peso and features many figural charms
The rest of the necklace is not coin silver. The chain and animals are handmade, and this is hand assembled.
 
There are Quetzal birds on either side of the coin which is the national bird of Guatemala. 
There are small coins and milagros of rabbits and a man complete the central pendant

Indigenous people of Guatemala still wear chanchals. 

Each village has its own symbols and designate the social rank of the wearer.
