We go to estate sales regularly and come across a wide array of unique and rare items.  We add to our growing online inventory daily.  We pick up new items from all over the world and all over the US.  We also have a growing customer wish list.  If you'd like to, feel free to add us to your saved seller's list and let us know what you collect and/or need.  We’d be honored to add you to our customer wish list.

We ask what we consider to be a fair price for anything we sell and understand that our idea of a fair price may be someone else's 'that's too much' price.  If that's the case, feel free to make us an offer and will consider it.  We also have sales regularly, so check back often.

There is always a Sale by TheBay!

Now onto the item for sale.

For sale is a hardcover copy of Drommen og Virkeligheden by Michael Tejn, published in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1942.

This book is printed entirely in Danish, which we can't read.  However, the title translates to The Dream and the Reality.

Michael Tejn wrote quite a few books over his career and translated many famous novels, including To Kill A Mockingbird, into Danish when they were published and distributed in Denmark.

From what we could gather, The Dream and The Reality was a series of books and it looks like two volumes were written for the sons and two for the fathers, at least according to the list of his books on Goodreads website.

Although we can't be certain, we believe this book is several volumes of the series given how the table of contents in the back of the book is divided up.  As you can see in the pictures above, it is divided into five main sections each beginning with a date followed by a series of chapters as though it is divided into several volumes.  Since we do not read danish nor are we familiar with the author, we may be incorrect, but we did include pictures of the entire table of contents for those who can read it.

By no means are we professional book graders, but overall, this book is in excellent condition, particularly given its 81 year old age.

The cover is pretty clean with some rather minorwear, mainly along the corners and spine.  As you can see, the lower left corner of the book title is missing on the spine.  It looks like the author and title was on a different piece of material that was applied to the spine.  We just wanted to make sure you were aware of it missing.

We didn't noticed any writing on the inside covers or any pages and no torn or creased pages after thumbing through the book several times.  The pages are still pretty white, but have probably yellowed just a bit over the decades.

This book will be shipped via media mail with the USPS.

Thanks for looking and God bless!
