The original part looks different and can be seen in our images. It has a spacer plate which covers the in tank reserve filter and often leading to fuel starvation issues.

The spacer plate is not fitted with the replacement tap.

You will therefore need shorter bolts to attach this to your petrol tank.

This is a brand new reproduced fuel tap and it has the following settings... ON, OFF, RESERVE.

Note that this tap has the fuel outlet on the LEFT hand side. The original exits from the rear or towards the inside of the frame

The casting of our taps is superb and they are all checked for smooth operation before dispatch.

Please take a good look at the pictures of our taps and see if you can find better castings elsewhere!

Don't mess about trying to reseal your old original fuel tap. We've tried all that and it just doesn't last.

Replacement OEM taps and spares are expensive and difficult to fit

Apart from that it's not worth wasting time even trying to fix them when you can buy something like this from us so cheaply!

OK so this tap not original Triumph / Mikuni but it is a much cheaper alternative than trying to get an original one.

Our taps are as good as you are going to buy, we've searched high and low for a long time for taps for these bikes plus other classic bikes that are just right and these are the best!

We check each tap before dispatch for any casting errors and tightness of the tap.

To date, we have had no returns or issues with my supplier and manufacturer.

Fitting this will eradicate all the usual problems of old taps not working and fuel not flowing or leaking taps.

Technical specifications:

These taps are very well made with very good casting material and tolerances, they are not made from 'monkey metal' like lots of other cheap taps are. I've bought them!... and binned them!

Hole diameter is 6.5mm for your 6mm bolts

Connection to fuel line: 7mm or 8mm  internal diameter fuel pipe.

NOTE THAT THIS MAY BE SLIGHTLY SMALLER THAN THE PIPE CURRENTLY ON YOUR BIKE BUT MEASURE.

We recommend that you renew your fuel pipe and we also sell very good quality clear or green tinted heavy wall thickness and E5 and E10 resistant fuel pipe too
