ConseCrate* Art Decoupage Box: Sex

Altars have served mankind throughout recorded history as designed, designated places of remembrance,

commemoration, contemplation,

and atonement;

a place to consecrate ourselves, again.

But often we don't consecrate ourselves but find ourselves bowing to all sorts of things and ideas, sex, money, greed, and power, chief among them.

What do we bow to?

Where do our mind's thoughts usually dwell? What do our hearts hold dear?

What do we celebrate?

What do we grieve?

What do we honor,

before what do we bow?

Before an altar rightly found,

I can light a candle and sit

and leave lighter than when

I first sat down.

The series of reclaimed wooden crates featuring vintage, personal, and curated images and items are each absolutely One Of A Kind and tell stories yet to be revealed.

The ConseCrate is 20" high, 14" wide, and 7" deep with all sides utilized, as you can see in the detailed pictures, and features two permanent votive candle holders.
