• The friend you refer must apply and be approved for a Capital One card.
• To receive a referral bonus, you must refer a friend who is not currently a Capital One primary credit cardholder.
• Your account must be open and in good standing to receive a bonus in the referral program. If you upgrade or change your account to another Capital One credit card after you have shared your referral link or while any referral application or bonus is pending, you will not be eligible for a referral bonus. If you have other Capital One credit card accounts that are in default or charged off, you may not be eligible for the referral program.
• For account holders participating in the referral program through an eligible Cash Back rewards card or a card that doesn’t earn rewards, the maximum bonus you can receive in a calendar year is $500. In the event the bonus you earn from this referral program exceeds $500 per calendar year, the bonus awarded may be a partial amount to keep your total bonus for the calendar year at $500. Once you have reached the maximum bonus amount for the calendar year, you can still refer your friends; however, you won’t receive additional bonus awards.
