For your consideration;

This is a stunning hand painted, and hand embroidered Yuzen Kurotomesode from my private collection.

This kimono features a yuzen painted autumn landscape, complete with a large forest of trees changing colors to autumn yellow and red next to a beautiful flowing river and rocky outcroppings. The trees are hand embroidered with Chinese Petit Point, or Peking Knots. This embroidery is rare and extremely valuable.

The details are what bring this kimono to the next level. The embroidery makes the trees appear to be illuminated by the sun. It also brings out the colors of the foliage and adds a three dimensional quality to the entire scene. In addition, Kinsai ( gold leaf) is added to the rocks in small circles to mimic leaves and moss.

The design continues onto the inside of the kimono. It also has the makers stamp and Kamon ( family crest).

A Yuzen kimono is amazing by itself. But, having embroidery and Kinsai too is really special and one of a kind!

There is no damage or stains that I can find.

This would be exquisite to wear or to hang as a decoration.
