Extremely rare left handed Wilson Watkins Rapier 44 from the early 60's.
There are a lot of right handed Rapiers but finding a left hander is almost impossible!
In all original condition and with all electrics, the four pick ups and controls working this indeed is a find.
It features a bolt on maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard.
The fiesta red paint finish is also in great shape. Just a couple of small dinks. One by the top of the right horn and the other by the bottom corner of the chrome ashtray.
Talking about chrome...again it's amazing that the chrome hasn't tarnished over the 60 years and is still gleaming.
The only issue I can find is the circular patch on the back of the guitar. I've not tried to scrape this off but I believe it was a sticker that has deteriorated over time and reacted with the paint finish.
The guitar has a nice action and stays in tune well.
Made in England with an early serial number of 17175.
Will be well packed for transit and can be collected.
