Nova Totius Terrarum Orbis Geographica Ac Hydrographica Tabula auct Iud. Hondio
It is made with a layer of Aluminium leaf. It is a fine example of a decorative Hondius world map, first published in the 1630 edition of the Mercator-Hondius Atlas, in response to the competition Willem Blaeu. The basic cartography follows the John Speed world map. Different elements are depicted in the corners. One of the most beautiful maps in the world from that period.
