When I first saw this piece of wood, I asked the guy at the Exotic Wood Store if he had anymore of this Bois' D' Arc (pronounced BO-Dark)? He said yes, but the wood was not Bois'D'Arc.  Before I couild ask what it was, he asked me if I could guess it's name.  After six wrong answers, he finally told me it was Mulberry.  I know that there are Mulberry trees in the Orient, and the silkworms in the trees make Silk from eating the Mulberries.  I also remembered that we have some Mulberry trees here in New Mexico, along the banks of the Rio Guadalupe, about 50 miles NW of Albuquerque.  I saw a fish eat one that fell in the water once, and then tied a few flies that looked pretty close to Mulberries, but don't remember where I put them.  Anyhoo,This piece of wood is very pretty.  Ther are many shades of Yellows, and some Orange too.  I finished the wood with CA (Cyano Acrylate), which is the chemical name for "Krazy" Glue, so it is Hard, Shiny, and Waterproof! The inside bore diameter is .500, which is 1/2 inch.  The upLocking hardware is Aluminum that has been plated to look  like Chrome, and the Reel Seat has TWO (2) Locking Rings.  The overall length is 4.250 inches (4 1/4)  I think the colors in the wood of this insert would contrast nicely with any color blank, especially any dark colored blank!  Reel Seat with be protectively packaged and shipped USPS Ground Advantage!
