Morrells Tung Oil is 100% made from pure Tung nut oil, seed of Chinese Tung Tree normally produced in China. When fully dried it gives a smooth clean finish forming a thin film layer on wooden surfaces providing a water resistant  barrier (minimum 3-5 coats). Pure tung oil is safe it can be used on all wooden surfaces including food areas, children play areas and toys, furniture, floorboards and many more.

 Please note: Tung Oil is extracted from nuts and may cause an allergic reaction.

   Preparation: It is recommended that any dirt and grease is removed from the surface with a good quality white spirit or other form of de-greasing agent. Wood surfaces should be lightly sanded and cleaned before application.

   Application: Before starting your project please test the tung oil in small area to check product suitability. Morrells tung oil can be         applied by hand using a lint free cotton rag, paint brush or by a foam pad. Fist prepare your wood remove old coating and gently sand the wood and clean with a damp cloth. Apply first 2 coats thinly final coat should be a generous application. Please wait for first coat to penetrate and dry before re application of fresh coat. We recommend minimum of 3 -5 coats dependent on wood type exterior timber we recommend using minimum 5 coats.

A thick coat will dry within 3 days and a thin coat will dry in around 12 - 24 hours.

Store the unused Tung oil in its container securely capped in a cool dry place.

We may also send for a 5L order, 5X1L bottles to make it 5L; depending on stock available at time of order. 30ml,100ml, 250ml, 500ml, 1L are repacked in our own Eurolincs Trading Ltd branded packaging, 5 Litre stain comes in Morrells branded packaging. Although we offer free shipping in whole of UK but for orders greater than 1 Litre quantities we may charge an additional postage charge for Northern Ireland, Scottish highlands and border counties, Guernsey, Jersey and Channel Islands.
