All of the Nadya collection is handmade in Bali. The clothing is always unique as it is made by hand. Mass production is not in harmony with the Balinese (spirit).

Usually, an item begins with an outline and an idea. Then the artisans go and create what they thought they heard! In Bali, people listen to the Gods for direction. I often show the craftsmen art books and picture books to help explain my ideas. The result is always clothing meant to "dazzle the Gods."

Handmade buttons, delicately carved and inlayed with mother-of-pearl and onyx, add special finishing touches to many Nadya designs.

Balinese artisans skilled in the traditional arts of batik and ikat( a method of handweaving textiles) work at the Puri Naga studios. Marvelous works of wearable art are created in a relaxed studio (or garden) setting.

There is an underlying conviction that the way to keep the Gods happy is to celebrate the elements and nature in general. Everyone is an artist; Everyone knows the phases of the moon and the colors of the sunset!
