Made in USA from the highest quality stainless steel, Rogue River Tools stainless steel wool is oil free, long strand, and crumble resistant. This is some of the best quality steel wool available for the trade, furniture maker, finisher and craftsman. To give your projects a beautiful reflection and sheen, use Rogue River Tools stainless steel wool! Manufactured for RRT on state of the art equipment utilizing 21st century technology without the use of oil (the only oil contamination will be trace amounts from oil used on the machinery, not oil in the cutting and drawing process as is normal for other steel wools). Oil contamination gives steel wool a dark gray color, and you can smell the oil contamination; RRT stainless steel wool is free of this. Typically lasts 2-3 times longer (or more) than the low carbon steel wools that are generally available.

PRODUCT SPECS
  • Made from Alloy type AISI 434 stainless steel, a corrosion resistant steel.
  • 434 stainless steel wool withstands temperatures in excess of 700°C, exhaust acids and high vibration.
  • Furnace tests show that stainless steel wool will withstand sustained temperatures of 700°C and peak temperatures of 800° C for up to 10 minutes without damage or degradation.
  • Fine compares to #0 - #00 Steel Wool. Average fiber width = 50 microns (0.05mm) / 0.002" (2 mils)
  • Medium compares to #1 - #2 Steel Wool. Average fiber width = 80 microns
  • Coarse compares to #3 Steel Wool. Average fiber width = 120 microns (0.12mm) / 0.005" (5 mils)
