This bike had previously been well used & was in real need of a bit of TLC
The Bottom bracket bearings needed replacing but the crankside had seized on so i had to cut it off in order to replace the bearings with a sealed bottom bracket type. The steel replacement crank is almost exactly the same spec so while not like for like it works well & suits the bike.
I fully stripped down the rest of the bike swapping all the cables (inner & outer) for new. Now cleaned up the bike really looks amazing wearing its original paint which while it has the obvious dings & scrapes has lasted very well for a bike that is 25+ years old.
Overall this is a nice bike & wears its age well. It is a 54cm, medium sized frame so will suit smaller riders as well as those around 6 foot. Ideal as a paper round/school/college/uni/commuter bike or indeed as a collectors item.
This is collection only from Royston Hertfordshire. We are around 20 mins from the A1 (Stevenage) and right on the Cambridge border about 20 mins drive from central Cambridge.
