Up for sale is a copy of, "The public laws of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, as revised by a committee, and finally enacted by the Honourable General Assembly, at their session in January, 1798. To which are prefixed, the Charter, Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, Constitution of the United States, and President Washington's Address of September, 1796. Published by authority."

Published 1798. Signature of a constable on front page. Also several handwritten lines that sate, "Clerk of the Supreme Judicial Court". I can find no other signatures so do not know if they are referencing Rhode Island or U.S. Supreme Court. Book is a neat look at the laws of Rhode Island in the early days of the U.S. Contains the Declaration of Independence, The U.S. Constitution, the Articles of Confederation and George Washington's address from September 1796. All preface the Rhode Island laws.

Book has condition issues. Acceptable. No boards. Pages have wear. Some are loose. Some markings to various Chipping at edges etc.. Needs new binding but a decent copy of this rare piece.
