Very good condition. This collection of 10 volumes is basically two, complete five volume sets. One by Thomas Babington Macaulay and the other by David Hume. Uniformly published and bound by Porter & Coates of Philadelphia. Undated, but circa 1880-1890. 8vo.

Bound in three quarter leather with bright gilt decorated spines. Covers, end pages and page edges marbled. Illustrated with only two frontispiece engravings of the authors.

Very good condition for age. Some chipping to leather spine heads, and a few rubbed areas present. Last 6 volumes have a variation in leather and appear slightly lighter. Pages have occasional age toning mostly around the engraved plates.
