The Story Behind The Banner

In the 1950s Levi's began to distribute beautiful denim banners with screen-printed advertisements on them to their dealers around the US, as a way to promote their denim to people outside of "Cowboy" and "Workwear" circles.

Using Cowboy motifs and slogans such as "The Wests Most Famous Brand" or "Look For The Red Tab" the company aimed to sell the romance of the American West (and their jeans) to regular folk.
