This item is a brochure AND accompanying envelope from around 1970 pertaining to the popular JAL (Japan Air Lies/Airlines) "Happi Coats" that were available for order via the Matsuya Department Store based in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Japan.

The brochure-- measuring (closed) approximately 5.2 x 7.2 inches, and (when opened) 10.4 x 7.2-- explains the tradition of the "The Happi" and explains how to order one for $3.95 each.

After the years the brochure doesn't show much wear, but maybe some typical wear for something that's been lying around in a drawer for 50 years or so.

PLEASE review the scans carefully and then purchase confidently.

For the domestic (American) buyer, I'll send the item free of charge with standard first class shipping within the United States. I'm in the effort to keep our costs down. However, if you want certified mail services (includes tracking) for the added cost of $4.00, just send me a message and alert me that you want this service so that I can make arrangements for you.

Thanks for considering this keepsake.
