Although these cards look similar to the various Topps 'box' sets of this period, these were not issued in complete set form. Rather they were distributed with regular Topps cards as inserts. One 'Batting Leader' per special pack of 100 regular Topps cards. Only at K-Mart outlets although cards have no 'K-Mart' notation.

'K-Mart Batting Leader' sets were issued in 1989 (red borders) and 1990 (green borders).
