Used - Good Used Condition - Dough hook was washed, rinsed, sanitized and polished prior to this listing.  It is ready for immediate food use.  There is surface tarnish of the steel which gives it the black splotchy look.  However it is not pitted and appears to be in excellent condition other than the tarnish.  There is no visible wear on the hook itself outside of the surface tarnish. 

This "D" bread hook (as it was called) was manufactured by Hobart for its KitchenAid division in the 1915 to 1925 range.  It only works on the early version Model H-5s that have two planetary attachments ports (one that revolves around the planetary for the bread hook and the standard one that revolves around the planetary as well as one it own axis for all other attachments).  It is made of heavy solid steel (not aluminum and not tin plated).  

This dough or bread hook will not fit any other KitchenAid / Hobart mixer other than an early version of the H-5 with two planetary ports.
