Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Edwardian sterling silver christening knife and fork set, made by William Gallimore & Sons of Sheffield, c-1908. The set includes a knife with bright cut blade and mother of pearl handle, and a fork with decorative stem being of good quality throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. Each piece features a dated monogram to the handle, with the hallmarks being about 80% overall. A very attractive christening set for the collection.
The knife and fork measure 17cm and 14cm long respectively, with the set weighing in at 56gms unpacked.

Sterling silver offered at William Sharpe Antiques is original and authentic, showing signs of use over its life. Unless expressly stated above, all pieces are free from major structural damage. However, normal signs of use including shallow depressions, fine scratches, and minor pattern and hallmark wear should be expected. All pieces (unless expressly stated above) have undertaken a very light polish with respect to the original patina, and a decision for further polishing will be left to the new custodian.
