DESCRIPTION 

This is a beautiful vintage prom dress from the 1980s made in the USA by Seneca, and it's never been worn!  It still has its original store tags attached.  The dress is made out of a black acetate taffeta.  The bodice accented with shiny black sequins, sparkly rhinestones, and faux pearl beads.  The dress is strapless with a drop waist, and it has a peplum accent around the hips.  The skirt has a walking slit in the back.  The dress closes with a zipper down the back. 

PLEASE NOTE:  This dress was too small for my mannequin, so in the photos, the zipper is not entirely up in the back.  However, the zipper works just fine! 

SIZING 

The tag labels this a size 5, but vintage sizes tend to run smaller than modern sizes.   I believe it would best fit a Juniors size XS. The actual measurements are as follows: 

Bust: 14.5 inches across, underarm to underarm (29 inches around. I took this measurement with the material pulled taught.)
Natural Waist: 12.75 across (25.5 inches around, measured at the narrowest part of the bodice)
Drop Waist: 14.5 inches across (29 inches around, measured at the seam between the bodice and the skirt)
Hips: 19.5 inches across (39 inches around)
Length: 39 inches from the top of the cups to the hem 

Note: These are the actual measurements of the garment, so please leave yourself room for comfort of movement. All measurements were taken with the item laying flat. The flat measurements were doubled to give an approximate measurement around.  

CONDITION

This dress is NEW OLD STOCK and has never been worn.  I did notice a super faint dusty scuff mark on one hip (see last picture), but this shouldn't be too noticeable when the dress is worn!

Shipping:

I go to the post office every week day, Monday - Friday.  I typically ship items out one business day after I've received payment, so if I receive payment on Friday, your item will go in the mail Monday (although if I receive payment early enough, I might get it in the mail the same day). If you need an item to be shipped right away, just let me know and I will do my best to get it out to you as soon as possible! 

PLEASE NOTE: I will ship your item to the address listed on the payment, so please make sure that your address is up-to-date!  

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: I am happy to ship internationally, but please note that as the buyer, you are responsible for any taxes or duties your customs office might charge on packages coming from the USA.  

Clothing Condition:

The large majority of the items in my store are vintage and/or pre-owned.  I will list any major flaws in the item description.  However, most vintage clothing has been around for several decades or more, and it may have some minor snags in the fabric, the occasional loose thread or other minimal signs of wear.  Vintage items may also have raw seams that have not been serged.  By purchasing, you are accepting that these items are used and may not be 100% perfect. However, if you feel I have overlooked a major flaw, please let me know!
