Type used from the Colonial (Revolutionary War) period through the 19th century. Used for blood letting “to relieve stress on the heart”. 3” length with brass case and two folding blades. One marked SHEFFIELD ENGLAND and the other FULTON CUTLERY CO SHEFFIELD.  Smooth staining to the blades which retain their original shape with very minimal sharpening
