    TIPS for USING 20IN GAS SHOC ON A DIY PROJECTS WITHOUT OEM GAS SHOCK

    If you are looking for a pair of gas springs for your small DIY project. The video will show you in detail how to choose the right gas springs and install them.

  2. Locating the upper mounting point


    • Measure 20% of the width of the cover vertically from the hinge direction C, and then make the mark A.
    • Install the L-shaped upper mounting bracket at point A.

  3. Locating the lower mounting point


    • Measuring the cylinder length of gas springs.
    • Calculate the minimum distance from point A to point B = AC + Tube Length.(Assumes 45cm)
    • Keep the cover at the angle you want. Then draw a circle on the inner wall of the box with a radius of 45cm, using point A as the center. Take any point on the circle as the B point.

  4. Install the gas shock


    After installing the upper and lower brackets, just install the gas spring. The same goes for the other one.
