This Sharp GF-8989E radio and cassette player is a vintage gem from the 1980s, with a sleek silver design and a range of features including headphone jack, DIN and mini-DIN audio outputs, and 3.5mm jack and DIN audio inputs. It has a battery life of 12 hours and comes with a unit quantity of 1.
With a band of AM/FM and a range of radio options including 4 speaker output, LED peak music lights, and bass and treble controls, this unit is perfect for any music lover. It is compatible with cassette tapes and has a belt drive, but does not come with a memory card. The Sharp GF-8989E also has a figure 8 plug regional fitment and weighs 5.9 KG.

The GF8989 was a midsize ghettoblaster from Sharp. It was introduced in 1980 or 81. It was available in silver or brown, and it measures 510 x 284 x 134 mm.
At 5.9 kg without batteries, it's lighter than Sharp's late 1970s models, and it only needs 8 batteries instead of 10. It's got 16cm woofers and a pair of "horn tweeters". The amp chip is a Rohm BA536. Output is 2x2.7 watts FTC minimum, 2x4.6 watts RMS, and 2x8 watts music power.
