Antique Islamic Arab, Persian or Turkish handcarved wood folding table. Museum quality furniture once used in a Mosque as Koran Quran holder for prayer. Also used for musicians holding notes and songs on public performances.

Made from dark tropical walnut like wood, probably rosewood or walnut wood. Deep carved relief artwork depicting typical Islamic geometric and floral patterns.

Inlaid marquetry artwork used Mother of pearl.

Condition: some chips with minor missing pieces. Break in the body. There is an iron bar inlaid in the body to fixing the stand m but you need further repair to use it again. Mother of pearl artwork is authentic inside the book’s place, but it has been removed from the outer parts. The replacement was started with white plastic, but not finished.

Recommended treatment: enforcement of the body and remove the plastic parts.
