Stunning 1930s beaded and embroidered floral motif daytime evening cocktail bag. This is the best from my collection but need to downsize and time for this lovely bag to find a new home. Displays really well
The front has a heavily hand embroidered panel and the reverse has scattered embroidered motifs. The background is all hand sewn tiny random glass beads which reflect the light really well and contrasts well with the matte yarn embroidery ( looks like wool when magnified). The base and handle are also beaded but in lines.
Extremely good vintage condition with no damage to the fabric. No visible damage to the beads or embroidery. Handle and fittings all firm and bright.
The foldover closure is bright gold tone metal topped with embroidery to match the rear. There is slight damage to the metal bar on the left side seen from the rear and 2 small losses of the bar centre and at right. However, these do not detract from the use and wearable quality of this bag and I mention them to be totally accurate. See last photos
Inside lined with black satin in good clean condition and a small vanity pocket . No Label
