The limited edition Vallecchi 1903 fountain pen was produced to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vallecchi, the Italian publishing house founded by Attilio Vallecchi in 1903. Narrators, poets, artists, architects, and musicians assembled around the figure of this courageous publisher and gave life to a unique literary clique which made Florence the cultural capital of Europe at the turn of the century. This beginning coincided with the birth of the Italian cultural avant-garde, the very movement which was at the origin of twentieth-century Italian culture.

The Visconti Vallecchi 1903's cap and barrel have been crafted by hand from plant resins and celluloid. The color is night blue with nuances of bronze. The edition number appears at the base of the barrel. The filigree of the barrel has been cut from sterling silver and etched with a diamond-tipped drill. The cap of the pen is adorned with a replica of a printing plate bearing the Vallecchi name. The pen has a fantastic two-toned 18-KT gold Visconti nib, which is medium in size. The Visconti Vallecchi 1903 fountain pen is complete with a plunger converter; this converter may be removed and the pen will accept ink cartridges.
