This plate is historically very interesting.!!

In 1933 Copeland & sons Ltd bought the JACKSON & GOSLING business and produced their patterns as GROSVENOR CHINA. This is one of these pieces. They were not made from the same Clay as the Spode - Copeland pieces and were continued to be made at the old factory from 1933 and during WW11. The business was sold in 1955.

This 6 inch plate is in the BERRIES pattern. It has excellent hand painted decals with delightful detail.  See the bird eating the Berries.

The only flaw is an area just under the edge where the glaze missed-- it is not a chip- but a factory defect. See the last Photo... This defect is NOT visible from the front.
