2 little sparrows from Bornholm. Danish Studio Pottery. These cute little ones are in excellent condition, no damage.  Measure 2 1/2" long and just under 2" tall. Designed by Simon for Soholm in the 1960s. Marked with "Simon" under tail.  Wonderful unique collectable birds!

History: Joseph Simon was born in Hungary in 1934. He studied at the Academy of Arts in Vienna and later in Stockholm and Paris. Simon started at Soholm in 1964 and designed a number of fantastic animal figurines so clearly inspired by nature's own color palette.
