I think you are wrong to want a heart. It makes most people unhappy. If you only knew it, you are in luck not to have a heart.

Here we offer a 2010 "heirloom quality" reproduction of the 1900 first edition of L Frank Baum's classic, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, published by George M. Hill Company, New York, here recreated in precise detail by Charles Winthrop & Sons, personally signed by Baum's great-grandson, Robert Baum, and hand-numbered.  Oz was an extravagant book when published in 1900 and this is the highest-quality facsimile available: large, colorful and well-made with the best quality pulp and cloth and precisely detailed in its reproduction.

The original book came in a highly-acidic oaktag dust jacket that degraded within a decade or so.  I have never seen even an image of a complete one.  This book comes wrapped in a facsimile of the first edition dust jacket that you can only get here, printed with archival inks on a heavy emerald-green sheet of ph-neutral, vellum-textured French art paper. Also included is a collection of ephemera: publisher's notes; a copy of the original ads for the book and period reviews; and an attractive color-laminated map of the lands of Oz.

Excellent condition, seems unread. 270 pages. The book measures approximately 7 x 9-inches.

This absolutely wonderful book will make a delightful addition to your collection or a very special and thoughtful gift.
