The icon of Saint Julian of Kenomania - Patron of Children - very important icon saint in the Orthodox Christian religion.

Icon of Saint Julian of Kenomania Patron of Children is depicting Saint Julian of Kenomania kneeling before a lectern or table, holding a child, and gazing up at an icon on the wall of Mary. Very rare iconographic subject. 

  Saint Julian of Kenomania was made a bishop by Saint Peter. Saint Julian of Kenomania went to what is now northern Italy, arrived in Cenomanis (the region of the River Po in the north of present day Italy) and settled into a small hut out beyond a city (probably Cremona) and preached there among the non-Christian population. Saint Julian of Kenomania is said to have so sympathized with parents who lost a child that he would resurrect dead children and that is how he got the reputation as an advocate of children.
