POSTER STAMPS THE DREAMS OF CHILDREN CLOWN CENTAURS MONKEY DACHSHUND DOG TOBLER

This is a marvellous set of 12 poster stamps (n. 1 – n. 12) edited by Swiss firm Chocolat Tobler. The set represents series n.1 published by Tobler in the mid 1920’s and relates to Children dreams.

The stamps with text in English were inserted inside the chocolate plates between the wrapper and the aluminium foil for children to collect them. The explanation of each dream is also related under the image of each stamp. Quite curious for those times is stamp n 9 where a half naked Centauress is escaping away from a male centaur that wants to steal the chocolate plate from her.

The collection is complete which add to the extreme difficulty of having all of them stay together after more than a century of age. The stamps are made of-thin paper with dimension 1.6 x 2.2 inches. Tiny traces of difficult readable text on the back of the stamps.

This article is in good conditions as illustrated in the picture shown.
