FIRST PHOTO IS A "STOCK" PHOTO FOR YOUR REFERENCE. I DO NOT SEE ANY CORROSION ON THE ICs I HAVE AVAILABLE, WHICH ARE STILL SEALED IN THEIR BAGS FROM SONY.

Vintage 1980's Sony CD player and Turntable part. Brand new, old stock "IC CX-193" which was used on the earliest CD players well into the development (including some ES models) and also confirmed on the schematic of the PSX-50 and PSX-70 turntables. Quite likely to be found on other "quartz lock" Sony turntables. Check your schematic and/or parts list to confirm. Label printing seems to indicate it fits MANY CDP units, including (but may fit others as well):

NOT LISTED ON THE BAG is the CDP-101 (world's first CD player) which also shows this IC on it's schematic.

And the two confirmed turntables. It seems SONY recycled the speed control "Quartz Lock" ICs from their turntables to control the CD player motor. Pretty interesting development!

I have two pieces, still in original Sony "static protective" packaging.

I can find exactly zero of these currently available elsewhere on the web right now, so if you need this, better grab it before the next guy does!

Ask any questions, but I'm afraid I don't have much else to share about this part. Your original service diagram should list this part number if you need it.
