This is a Gorgeous Mid Century MURANO Sommerso Art Glass Bowl or DishHand Made with a deep Cobalt and Green colored Glass encased in Clear glass. The center portion is a beautiful Green
that is shaped like a flower
with the petals reaching towards the edge and transforming into the Cobalt Blue color. It has six clear glass lobes under the top
edge. It has a glossy finish that feels smooth to the touch. It has a ground and polished pontil on the very bottom.
This Mid Century Modern Bowl looks fabulous when it is displayed anywhere that it can catch the light. It glows and lights up
as it reflects the Blue and Green colors onto the table or wall.
This bowl measures approx. 8.25" long, 6" wide and 2" tall. It is in Perfect vintage condition all the way around. I only find a
minor amount of normal surface wear on the very bottom which I expect to see on a piece of this age.
It is much nicer than the pictures reveal. It is much more vivid than it appears in the pictures. It is actually very dark in
person, It looks like Black glass (as Cobalt should look) with a dark Green but with a flash or without the picture came out
light and cloudy. This would make a nice addition
to any collection of Italian Art Glass or Cobalt Art Glass.
