William Guerin WG Co. Limoges France Antique Double Handle Soup Cup & Saucer

 

Wreathed in Floral and Greek Key Patterns circled in thick bands of gold, this antique Limoges double handled cup and saucer evokes thoughts of Ireland. It was manufactured and decorated by William Guerin & Co. exclusively for the Philadelphia luxury retailer Wright, Tyndale & Van Roden (1880-1930).

 

MARKS: Bears the WG&Co. green G60b mark along with the blue G60c decorating mark dating from 1891 to 1932. The Wright, Tyndale & Van Roden marks further narrow the age of this piece to between 1891 and 1930.

 

MEASUREMENTS: Cup: 3-1/2" in diameter, stands 2-1/4" tall, 5-1/4" from handle to handle    

                          Saucer: 5-1/2" in diameter


CONDITION: Both pieces are in excellent condition with no nicks, fleabites or crazing and very little wear to the gold trim.
