This First Day Issue of the Stamp salutes the great American board game by Parker Brothers - Monopoly.  First Day Envelope of the stamp issued to honor Monopoly.  On the day a stamp is issued, it is only available in the city where it is issued and the Post Office certifies this by canceling the stamp “First Day of Issue.”
