Offered is this antique bronze sculpture, a bust of a man wearing a Phrygian cap, by Italian sculptor Vincenzo Aurisicchio. It has been signed "Aurisichio" on the back-note that there is only one "c", but I have seen numerous other pieces for sale by this artist with the signature also spelled with one "c". The bust has been mounted on two square marble bases, one slightly larger than the other. I don't know when the piece was made, but the artist lived from 1855-1926.

The entire piece 8 1/2" high, with the bronze bust itself about 5 3/4" high. The largest marble base is about 3 5/8" x 3 5/8". It is in very good condition; I see no damage to the bronze or marble. There are some light marks from handling.
