Extremely rare Viewmaster 'Celebrity Cruises' Cruise Ship Model. Made from plastic, this has a built in model L viewer, with a built in light. It is in perfect working order when tested with batteries (not included), and it requires 4 large size D batteries. The top section is attached with velcro, and can be removed easily to either insert a reel or batteries.
There is a red button on the side you press to operate the light, while the lever on the other side flicks through the reel images. Includes a rare 'Celebrity Cruises Exceeding Expectations' reel.
Measures approx 41" in length, making for a wonderful display piece. It is really a piece of nautical history, as well as Viewmaster history too. One of the largest and rarest Viewmaster items you could ever own.
CONDITION: VERY GOOD FOR ITS AGE. HAS ONE CRACK TO THE PLASTIC TO THE BACK END OF SHIP WHICH HAS BEEN REPAIRED, TO THE LEFT SIDE JUST ABOVE THE LEFT EYE PIECE YOU USE TO VIEW THE IMAGERY (SEE PHOTO 4). IT IS OTHERWISE VERY GOOD WITH JUST MINOR WEAR (SOME SMALL SCUFFS AND MARKS). SEE PHOTOS.
Due to its fragile nature and size, we would prefer this to be collected from Prudhoe, Northumberland, rather than posted, to avoid any risk of damage. It is a very special and rare piece! We would be as devastated as the buyer were this to be damaged in post, being big Viewmaster collectors ourselves.
