The Old Town of Lijiang 1997, Hardback

World Cultural Heritage

Texts & photographs by Zhang Tongsheng

This Illustrated UNESCO Inscribed Hardback is in excellent condition with lovely historical photography. The back and front cover is very minimally scratched, but the book itself is in excellent condition.

The book was published and inscribed by the World Heritage Committee and UNESCO in 1997. This special issue book details the history of the town of Lijiang and the Naxi people of China. It is in both English and Chinese, mostly throughout the texts. Throughout the book there are wonderful black and white photographs of the town, from its well-preserved architecture spanning back 800 years to the culture and dress of the Naxi with captions in Chinese and English relating to it’s historical relevance.
