The Super Electric Fuzztone is a recreation of the Maestro FZ-1A Fuzz-Tone, a classic early fuzz from the mid 60s. It uses three vintage germanium transistors and is solidly built on wide pitch veroboard.
Like the original, it's powered by a single 1.5v (AA size) battery only, held in a rugged metal battery holder. There's a toggle switch which switches the battery off when not in use to prevent drain.
I used my original Maestro FZ-1A Fuzz-Tone as a reference to ensure sonic accuracy.
